Chassis and Suspension

Ford Ranger lift kit and new tires

We at Fast Specialties are just like you, we love making big power, but do not overlook the chassis and drive train, or all that extra power will end up getting wasted. Whether you are looking to lower your car a bit to give it that aggressive look, or install a braking system to handle the race track, Fast is the right place.

Custom Tuning

Mustang GT with intake upgrades

Here at Fast Specialties, the 1750SE Mustang Dyno is the heart of our tuning capability. When it comes to performance evaluation, we believe this machine to be head and shoulders above other machines on the market. Our modified 4 post lift allows the dyno to accept long bed and most dually trucks without pulling the rear wheels.

Frequently Asked Questions

We run a 1750 2WD Chassis, so we can work on both gas and diesel. A large portion of our work centers around ECU tuning, we're experts with HP Tuners, Holley EFI, Megasquirt, SCT, Link, AEM, and many more. Forced induction is what we specialize in, but we also do air-fuel tuning, boost control, timing work, and flex-fuel setups. The process requires real-time logging and multiple pulls on the dyno to dial things in properly. It takes time, but that's the only way to get it right.

Depends on what you're doing. Simple mods and tuning, couple of days. You want a turbo setup and suspension work done right? Plan on three to six weeks a couple of weeks. Full LS swap with fuel system is more like a month or two. We don't rush things, quality matters more than speed, and we'll give you an honest timeline upfront.

We install Magnuson, Whipple, Procharger, Vortech, and Edelbrock. Since we've got solid relationships with these manufacturers, we can get you competitive pricing. Each one's got different characteristics, so we'll help you figure out which makes the most sense for your specific build and what you're trying to achieve.

There are too many variables to have a generic answer to this question. If your car's stock, you're probably not looking huge horsepower gains, but noticeable increases in efficiency, and more power throughout the powerband once we dial in the tune. Now if you've already got a turbo or supercharger bolted on, that's a different story. It’s not uncommon to see 50%-75% increases in wheel horse power and torque. We'll look at your specific setup and be honest about what to expect.

An LS/LT swap is basically pulling out whatever engine your car came with and dropping in a Chevy LS (runs anywhere from 5.3 to 7.0 liters) or an LT (6.2, supercharged). People do it because they're solid engines, they're affordable, and you get serious power out of them. We do a ton of them, so we know what we're doing.

A basic swap, runs about 80 to 120 hours of labor. Adding things like fuel system upgrades to support modern fuel injection, vintage air, forced induction, camshaft, etc and that time goes up. We'll nail down exactly what your project involves during the consultation so you know what to expect.

Superchargers bolt to a belt and give you instant boost with zero lag, but they're less efficient. Turbos run off your exhaust, so you get better fuel economy and great peak power, but there's a little bit of spool-up time. We'll talk through what works best for your driving style and what you're trying to accomplish.

Not if it's installed and tuned right. Good parts, smart tuning, and regular maintenance will keep a boosted engine running strong. We always prioritize reliability over chasing numbers. A reliable 500hp engine is way better than a broken 600hp engine.

We work with Holley EFI, HP Tuners, Megasquirt, SCT, Link, ECU’s that utilize Tuner Studio, AEM, pretty much all the big brands. Custom tune or off-the-shelf, we've got what you need.

Yeah. We'll install the sensor, wire everything up right, and tune the ECU to handle both E85 and regular gas. The E85 lets you pull more power out of your engine since it's got a higher octane rating. We can handle the whole thing—hardware and tuning.

We do. A car with tons of power but bad handling is no fun. We offer lowering kits, coilovers, brake upgrades, full suspension work for street or track. Pretty much anything suspension-related, we can sort out.

Absolutely. We don't walk away from tricky builds or blame the aftermarket parts for everything. We actually diagnose what's going on and fix it properly. These complicated custom cars are honestly where we shine.

We stand behind everything we do. The warranty details vary depending on what service you're getting done, but we'll go over it with you and put it in writing so you know exactly what's covered.

Just give us a call or shoot us an email with your vehicle info and what you're looking to do. We'll talk through your ideas, figure out what actually makes sense, give you a real quote with a timeline you can rely on, and go from there.
